Where we play
Oitavos Dunes, Lisbon, PortugalOitavos Dunes is a spectacular links course known as the best in continental Europe. Just a 30 minute transfer from our ship along the very picturesque Estoril coastline will have the adrenaline rushing in anticipation of this course. Designed by American Arthur Hills in 2001 it has already been host to the Portuguese Open on several occasions. Majestic scenery with an interesting change to the layout.
It's signature hole is the par 14th, one of several challenges here. |
Golf d'Etretat, Le Havre, FranceSet out along the chalk cliffs to the north side of Le Havre, with spectacular coastal views accross the English Channel. The most exciting sequence of holes arrives at the back nine, between the par five 10th and the par four 14th, where these five fairways run along the edge of the cliffs. The par five 18th is also a fine finishing hole, doglegging left and downhill to the home green. Drama will ensue on a windy day out on this superb links.

Club de Golf Ria, Vigo, SpainThe course here is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, situated on a south side of a high plateau reaching out to the ocean. The 18 holes offer some magnificent views over the Atlantic and the city, especially from the holes 11, 14 and 17. The hilly terrain means a buggy is essential! Hole one is a spectacular start with an iron straight down into the valley. Bunkers and water hazards add to the enjoyable challenge here.
