4 Fantastic Golf Days
Surprises at each port of call where we have unearthed some surprising little gems. Each course is set in beautiful surroundings. Il. Picciolo Golf Club featured in this picture stands at the foot of Mt.Etna. It's a must to have your camera at the ready. Further gems in Genoa and Marseilles with the 'Royal' designated course in Malta completing our line up.
Groups on a Tournament format, Golf is played over 3 courses with the 4th days play a free day.

Where we play
Il Piciollo, Messina, Sicily, ItalyThe fairways of the course are for the most part wavy and possess several water and bunker hazards. What distinguishes this course is the breathtaking beauty of the landscape: the 18 emerald green holes seem to be caught up in the black lava hills. The most difficult hole is the eleventh, it's narrow, 387 m long par 4 with water on the right side and an out of bounds on the left side of the fairway. A great experience.

La Sallette Golf club, Marseille, FranceThe stunning Salette Golf Course is central to Marseille’s 11th arrondissement, 10 minutes from the old port and less than 30 minutes from the TGV station and airport.
This undulating 18-holes course – Par 69 of 5214 metres – is laid out within a garden of Provence and offers spectacular views of the Garlaban Massif and the town of Marseille. here we are just a very short ride from the port so time still to discover Marseille. |
St.Anna Golf club, Genoa, ItalyA challenging course on the front 9 where the hilly terrain are served well with a buggy! Elevated tees provide good vistas. Some good technique required and full of hazards. Built between the hills above Arenzano, the St. Anna Golf Club already won numerous golfers over and thrilled them with its great characteristics. Hole 1,6, and back nine like 10,11,12 are beautiful. A 20 minute transfer from our ship along the beautiful coast.

Royal Malta Golf ClubSteeped in history it was formerly a British Army golf course founded by the former Maltese Governor Sir Henry D'Oyley Torrens and was handed over to the Maltese members in 1971 and since which time many improvements have taken place and year round play on the lush greens are now possible. A par 68 from the men's tee box, there are a few water hazards and bunkers on some tight fairways. At the 6th you tee off from the 'maids' bedroom...all will be evident when you arrive! The18th is a bit tricky to end your day. A pretty course with a loyal British membership. Fish n' Chips anyone!?
