Oitavos Dunes, Lisbon, PortugalOitavos Dunes is a spectacular links course known as the best in continental Europe. Just a 30 minute transfer from our ship along the very picturesque Estoril coastline will have the adrenaline rushing in anticipation of this course. Designed by American Arthur Hills in 2001 it has already been host to the Portuguese Open on several occasions. Majestic scenery with an interesting change to the layout as you progress around these 18 special holes.
It's signature hole is the par 14th, one of several challenges here. A course with historical ties to the past that still exist today, this fantastic seaside links is an experience not to be missed. |
La Grande Mare, St.Peter Port, GuernseyLa Grande Mare Golf Course is set in over 120 acres on Guernsey’s western coast, adjacent to the sandy beach of Vazon Bay. It offers a truly unique opportunity for golf on this delightful Martin Hawtree designed parkland course, measuring a unique 4761 yards, par 64 links course over its 18 holes. Part of the 4 star hotel complex and directly adjacent to the beach, wind can be your master. narrow fairways and an abundance of water hazards will test your accuracy and much use of skillful iron play will be needed. Campo de Golf Laukariz, Bilbao, SpainJust a 15 minute transfer from our ship this private multifaceted club plays 27 holes. The first 18 holes opened for play in 1975 and were designed by Paul Putman. It is considered one of the top golf courses in the area and is set in an incredibly beautiful area of natural beauty. You can choose which 18 you wish to play. The golf course has a great design with a fantastic variety of holes which each have their own unique challenges and with some difficulties fairways. The golf course is well laid out & suitable for all levels and ages of golfer. Range, 3 practice putting greens and an excellent club house are among the many features here.

Golf de la Pree, La Rochelle, France.This lovely course overlooking the sea has an interesting landscape. Unseen bunkers pop up when least expected. Some beautiful views and some testing holes particularly at 7,10,12 & 13 which are the most challenging. Great facilities
with driving range, putting and chipping practice areas before we get started. The staff here are charming and very welcoming - don't worry we speak French so you don't have to! |
Estela Golf Club, Oporto, PortugalFlat with water hazards Estela is a sea side links with plenty of dream like dunes and fairways with vistas of the Atlantic. You can catch the sea spray here as we hug the coast for over 2.5 miles. Two great lakes give this course, which is more difficult to play on a windy day, a personal touch. The crushing Atlantic will remind you this is a Golfing Cruise in the true sense of the word! Cameras at the ready for some great photo's.

Club de Golf Ria, Vigo, SpainThe course here is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, situated on a south side of a high plateau reaching out to the ocean. The 18 holes offer some magnificent views over the Atlantic and the city, especially from the holes 11, 14 and 17. The hilly terrain means a buggy is essential! Hole one is a spectacular start with an iron straight down into the valley. Bunkers and water hazards add to the enjoyable challenge here.
